KC "Heavy Metal Champion" Hundred Years War's 2nd full length album.
The year was 2009, the band had released one full length record and the men of the band had either moved away or changed their focus to other projects. I randomly received an email from Mr. Jason Hall with the bare bones of a new song called 'Nikki Won't Die' -- it was just a scratch guitar and a click track. So I went down into my basement to write the drum parts to it. Later on, I received another file - same deal, just a click track and a cheap ass sounding scratch guitar, like a demo guitar, so back to the basement I went to write drum parts. Then more tracks came. Eventually, we had these 9 songs with drums and basic guitar fully tracked. Then, Chris and Auggie got their grubby paws on it and wrote their parts, laid them down, and here we are 7 years later with this 2nd full length release. With the exception of 'As Memphis Burns', we've never even been in the same room together to play any of these songs. This record came together completely remotely, written and harvested by the men in the band in KC and Nashville. Thanks to all our friends who have stuck along with "The best metal band in KC 2008" all these years, and a special thanks to J. Hall for staying married to these songs and making sure the record got done. Thank you to our friend Brad Blackwood for the kick ass job mastering the record, and thanks to our friends Scott Gould, Tim Skipper and Nickolas Blazina for contributing their talents to this album. Onto conquering "Best Metal band in KC 2016" and beyond!
